چکیده

Due to the increasing resistance of aquaculture pathogens antibiotics, search for new approaches control infectious diseases is particular importance. A promising approach development probiotic preparations based on antagonist bacteria. The paper studied antagonistic activity Bacillus strains that are developing probiotics fish. were isolated from bottom sediments Don River in area Donskoy Fish Reserve, as well intestines cyprinids natural populations, namely, silver carp (Cyprinus gibelio), roach (Rutilus heckelii), and bream (Abramis brama). inhibitory effect against causative agents aeromonosis, pseudomonosis bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia was by method delayed antagonism. Aeromonas Pseudomonas species pathogenic fish sturgeons, salmons grown pond farms recirculating systems Krasnodar Region, Rostov Region Republic Adygea. It has been shown sensitivity action bacilli not only a species, but also strain-specific trait among Five identified exhibited maximum pathogens, their identification carried out molecular biological mass spectrometric methods. established most pronounced antagonism sediments. growth all suppressed B. subtilis R4 strain. Thus, aerobic spore-forming bacteria suitable creation objects have characterized.

Streptomyces Bacteria as Potential Probiotics in Aquaculture

In response to the increased seafood demand from the ever-going human population, aquaculture has become the fastest growing animal food-producing sector. However, the indiscriminate use of antibiotics as a biological control agents for fish pathogens has led to the emergence of antibiotic resistance bacteria. Probiotics are defined as living microbial supplement that exert beneficial effects o...

Catabolic Activity of Bacillus Genus Bacteria in DDAO-Containing Media

We studied the effect of N-oxide of N, N-dimethyl-dodecylamine (DDAO) on catabolic activity of the Bacillus genus bacteria involved in the process of denitrificantion. The laboratory tests have proved that the presence of DDAO in concentrations greater than 75 ppm extends the time of nitrate (V) reduction, while the concentration of the intermediate-formed nitrates (III) is inhibited at the lev...

Antagonistic Activity of Bacillus Bacteria against Food-Borne Pathogens

Foodborne pathogens are among the most significant problems in maintaining the health of the population. In 2011 the CDC estimates that each year roughly 1 in 6 Americans (or 48 million people) gets sick, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die of foodborne diseases. The leading causes of foodborne illnesses in the United States are Salmonella and Shigella [1,2]. Staphylococcus aureus is among ...
